Mr Colvin provides a front as an adequate attorney, but under his facade lies a man who treats his potential clients like crap. He has no respect for his clients or the law itself. He screwed me out of a new car and damages because his ego is bigger than his goodwill. The following is my reasoning for email communication with the attorney. His response was to disassociate instead of being a decent human being. My email to the attorney: Unfortunately I will no longer be available to you by phone due to your aggressive and rude behavior toward me during our last phone conversation. I have found the following problems with how you and your office are handling my case: 1. When I called to schedule a consultation with you I was told to FIRST sign the retainer that was going to be emailed to me. AFTER it was signed and returned I was scheduled a consultation. 2. My "consultation" turned out to be an appt with your aide instead of you. In going over personal data with the aide it was noticed by him that we share the same birthday. When you finally popped your head in for a moment you made a rude comment about needing to deal with the legal aide being "too friendly" with me because we were laughing about the birthday coincidence. 3. I finally had a meeting with you, a phone call that I had no warning to expect or prepare for. At the beginning of the call you berated me for not calling you immediately after the car accident and for having given statements to the insurance already. After that you continued to lose control of your professionalism and caused me to cry before deciding to take a break from the call to compose yourself as you had gotten too heated. The subsequent call a few minutes later didn't go much better. 4. I was told by you I'd have to pay out of pocket for all my medical expenses and that you would TRY to seek repayment from the other party. I was also told that you didn't expect more than a few thousand dollars to be won if anything, almost half of which would go to you, and none of which would come even close to what I need currently to cover my medical bills and what I will continue to need for possibly the rest of my life. For these reasons we will not be moving forward together in any capacity. The retainer I was forced to sign is to be considered null and void. *I can't count how many ways he went wrong here... I would never recommend him to anyone! He's a disgrace to the law!
