1 month agoI feel compelled to share my concerns regarding Mr. Poucher’s handling of legal matters for an elderly individual with cognitive decline. The handling of estate planning and Power of Attorney documents was deeply troubling. An agreement was made two years ago for the Power of Attorney, but after a mistake was found in the original document, Mr. Poucher used this opportunity to push forward new legal documents while the individual was in a vulnerable state. There was a lack of transparency and disregard for the individual’s diminished capacity, particularly given the technicalities and loopholes the firm seemed to exploit. Mr. Poucher eventually refunded and corrected the situation, but only after the issue was caught. What if it hadn’t been noticed? This raises serious concerns about how vulnerable individuals can be taken advantage of due to legal loopholes. Vulnerable adults deserve more protection, especially in estate planning. I hope this serves as a cautionary tale for others seeking legal help for elderly loved ones. Please proceed with caution.
